About
Our story began in 2014 at the Viltu Business? conference, organized together with ProjektPolska.is in collaboration with Bryndís Jónatansdóttir, Innovation Center Iceland, Vinnumálastofnun, and local entrepreneurs. The following year, ALO Ísland has registered as a non-profit organisation (félagasamtök) with the aim of creating projects and events promoting entrepreneurship in Iceland. In 2016 and 2023, we received grants from Reykjavík City to support our initiative.
At ALO Ísland, we tailor our projects to the needs of immigrants and advocate for equal access to information. Our goal is to inspire, encourage and support new entrepreneurs, promote their successes, and build awareness about their cultural, social, and economic potential.
